This Week’s Musical Inspiration- Wanna Be Happy by Kirk Franklin

I chose this song for this week’s inspiration because I think that we tend to try and do a lot of things that we think will make us happy when really all we need to do is simplify things and trust in the power of God and the purpose that he has for us. We need to get out of our own way and let our faith and trust in a higher power, in God, carry us through on our journey to success! I hope that this song inspires you as much as it has inspired me and many others! This song is going to be my personal theme for the year of 2016! Be Happy everyone!

Jimmetta Carpenter was born and raised in the Prince George’s County Maryland and has had a very big imagination since a very early age. She has been writing poetry since she was in elementary school around the age of ten. Her love of words has allowed her to express herself in ways in which verbally she can not. Her advice to other up and coming authors is to NEVER stop believing in your dreams and don’t ever be afraid to dream big.
