Script Pipeline TV Writing Contest

 2016 Season Opens September 1st

The 8th Annual Script Pipeline TV Writing Contest is searching for the next extraordinary television writer. As a community of aspiring TV writers continue to prove their skills with both specs and original pilots, the level of talent has skyrocketed–and the demand for more quality TV material is higher than ever before.

Facilitating connections between new writers and leading TV producers, managers, and agencies has proven remarkably successful, with numerous Pipeline writers finding elite representation and gaining crucial introductions to otherwise impossible-to-reach industry execs. The result: over $5 million in spec scripts and TV pilots sold from Pipeline competition finalists and “Recommend” writers since 2003.

Last season, close to 5,000 scripts were entered in the Screenwriting and TV Writing contests combined, making Script Pipeline one of the leading companies reviewing spec material.

Beyond prizes, finalists are given exposure to approximately 200 qualified contacts, as well as:

  • Over $5,000 in cash
  • Consultations with Script Pipeline’s Director of Development and Senior Consultant
  • Personal introductions to managers, producers, agents, and others searching for new TV material, tailored to each individual project
  • An opportunity to submit other material to Script Pipeline for internal review
  • A reserved spot to the 2015 Secret Door Pitchfest as a recognized finalist

Our intent: to circulate exceptional material industry-wide, support our writers long-term, and help launch careers.

The PAGE International Screenwriting Awards competition

Entries will be accepted for our 2016 screenplay contest beginning in December!

The PAGE International Screenwriting Awards competition was established in the fall of 2003 by an alliance of Hollywood producers, agents, and development executives. Our goal: to discover the most exciting new scripts by up-and-coming writers from across the country and around the world.

And now, due to the unprecedented success of so many of our winning writers, the PAGE Awards contest is widely recognized as one of the most important sources for new screenwriting talent within the Hollywood community and worldwide.

OUR MISSION

It’s a Catch 22. While producers and agents always complain about how difficult it is to find good material, talented writers who live outside Los Angeles and have no “connections” within the movie industry find it virtually impossible to penetrate the barriers of the Hollywood system.

The PAGE screenwriting contest was designed to bridge that gap – giving new screenwriters the opportunity to get their scripts into the hands of industry professionals, while also serving as a much-needed resource for Hollywood producers, agents, and studio execs who are searching for new material.

Since its inception, the PAGE Awards contest has helped launch the careers of dozens of talented screenwriters and has garnered more Success Stories than any other screenwriting contest in the world! Our winning writers have signed with top literary representatives, optioned and sold their scripts, landed paid writing assignments, and many now have movies and television shows in production, on the air, and in theaters.
