I have followed this blog for years now and there is an abundance of information within this blog about freelance writing and what it takes to really get started and make it as a freelance writer. I hope that you can make use of the wealth of information that is provided in this blog.
About the Make a Living Writing
Carol Tice started Make a Living Writing because she wanted to share what she learned about successful freelancing and help writers support themselves with their craft. This blog is her give-back to the profession that allows her to pay her bills doing something she truly enjoy.
This advice blog has taken her places she never imagined she’d go. She now offer one-on-one mentoring, and teach the Freelance Writer’s Blast-Off Class and 4-Week Journalism School courses with the Renegade Writer‘s Linda Formichelli.
She published her Make a Living Writing e-book (watch for it to split into multiple ebooks later this year), and co-wrote 13 Ways to Get the Writing Done Faster, also with Linda Formichelli. Her blogging work also helped lead to two print business books, How They Started and The Pocket Small Business Owner’s Guide to Starting on a Shoestring.
Her writing advice has appeared on Copyblogger, Write to Done, and DIYThemes, among others. She was recently named the blogging expert for the National Association of Independent Writers & Editors (NAIWE).
Her endless quest to get more information out to more writers faster on how to earn more from freelance writing led to the creation of Freelance Writers Den in 2011. The Den now has over 800 members and growing. If you’d like more support and access to a ton of e-courses to help you shorten your ramp time, check that out.
